Things have been going along business as usual around here. As obstacles continue to arise, I'm getting more and more excited about really getting into the meat of my program. The latest obstacle I've encountered has again come from housing. It looks like not only has my move in date been bumped back to October 10th, but I have to move *again* in a couple of days to a //different// Travelodge.
Needless to say, this is not ideal. But to help ease the transition, I treated myself to Shovel Knight and the new Zelda game, along with a nice day trip to St. Andrew's.
Our little adventure began at the old castle.
Unsurprisingly beautiful, the castle sits right at the edge of the ocean, overlooking the water and beaches of St. Andrews. While it doesnt look like much, it is really a stunning example of preserved medieval architecture.

Not only that, but there was this super spooky well right in the middle of the courtyard that had all sorts of ferns and plant life creeping up.
Without a doubt, something did dwell beneath the castle, slumbering until some undisclosed event. Yknow, average castle stuff.
Next stop was the far more spooky cathedral ruins. Tall spires and towers overlook a large graveyard. Had there been some mist and clouds, it would have been a *prime* spot for doing weird occult rituals, not that I think a lot about that stuff (but it really would have been).

It was great trip. Angst relieving and spooky, all I could possibly ask for in an excursion. For making it all the way down to the bottom of this silly little online journal -- a gift:
